2024 Summer Art Camp at Yellow Bird Studio!

Creative kids and their parents agree, Yellow Bird Studio's Summer Art Camp is Tampa Bay's BEST art camp!  We plan our camp to keep the kids engaged, spark their creativity, and provide plenty of time for making friends.  Each week we are inspired by a new theme, and we bring it to life with a variety of media and techniques that let them explore the possibilities and their imaginations.  A small group allows us to provide your child with individualized instruction for projects. Pre-registration with payment is required to hold your spot- Please see class availability on the registration page. 

 

Please note the recommended ages for each week before you sign up to make sure the camp is appropriate for your child!

(We are sorry but we are not accepting PreK-4 children who are entering Kindergarten due to skill level of the projects)

Price: $225 per child per full camp week. 

      

Times:

• AM Session 9:00-12:00 

• PM Session 1:30-4:30

• No full day options; No before or after care provided

 

Other:  

• We will not be having a snack time, however you can send a labeled drink in with your child.

• Please come dressed for mess!!!

Summer Camp Weeks and Themes

 If you do not see a camp week listed on the Registration Page, it's because that session is full.

Please email the desired location directly to place your child on the wait list. 

 

Week 1  June 3-7:  Fine Feathered Friends (Entering 1st - 6th Grade)  

We love birds, so our dear little birds Sunny and Louie will inspire our art work this week with a variety of media such as paint, collage and sewing to create fantastical flights of fantasy birds.

 

Week 2  June 10-14 *AM Only*:  The Art of Storytelling (Entering 3rd - 6th Grade) 

This is the perfect camp for the kid who loves to write and tell stories AND make art!  In this camp, kids will use the power of story telling to create an imaginary land through a wide variety of art media and watch their stories come to life.

Week 2  June 10-14 *PM Only:*  Welcome to the Dragonarium (Entering 3rd - 6th Grade) 

Artists will work with paper mache, clay and other materials to create their own dragon species while they dive into their dragon's magical powers, their mythical worlds and so much more! 

​

Week 3  June 17-21:  Monsters and Robots (Entering 1st - 6th Grade)

Campers will enter the land of imagination by creating monsters and robots and their fantastical homes in this mixed media camp.

Week 4  June 24-28:  Under The Sea (Entering 1st - 6th Grade) 

Mermaids and other ocean creatures will take center stage as we create worlds for them with a variety of media that are inspired by the sea and it's treasures!

 

Week 5  July 8-12:  Fashion Camp (Entering 3rd - 6th Grade) 

This is a permanent fixture of every summer camp at YBS and is the perfect camp for little fashionistas!  With a heavy emphasis on sewing, we will design hats, dresses and accessories worthy of any runway. 

 

Week 6  July 15-19:  Rumble in the Jungle (Entering 1st - 6th Grade) 

It will be a swinging great time as we guide our young explorers through an art-filled jungle of animals and their habitats in this mixed media camp that touches on everything!

 

Week 7  July 22-26:  Tree House Fairies (Entering 1st - 6th Grade). 

Campers will design and make their own unique tree house world for little fairies and their magical friends, as well as create other beautiful art inspired by nature and magic!

Week 8  July 29- August 2:  The Art of Harry Potter (Entering 2nd - 6th Grade) 

Calling all Harry Potter fans!  We will use different kinds of media to create art inspired by the characters and magical land represented in the Harry Potter novels and movies for a week full of Hogwarts inspired fun!

                                                                      

Week 9  August 5-9:  Dream House Challenge (Entering 2nd 6th Grade)

Is your child up to the challenge?  Campers will design and build their own "dream house" using a large variety of materials and use art media to add all the decorative touches that make it a dream come true!

Summer Camp Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• Full refund if canceling by May 15, 2024

• 50% refund if canceling by May 20, 2024

• 75% refund if canceling by May 26, 2024

• No refunds if canceling May 27, 2024 or after

• No credits or make-up days given for missed days during the camp week
