2023 Summer Art Camp at Yellow Bird Studio!

Creative kids and their parents agree, Yellow Bird Studio's Summer Art Camp is Tampa Bay's BEST art camp! We plan our camp to keep the kids engaged, spark their creativity, and provide plenty of time for making friends. Each week we are inspired by a new theme, and we bring it to life with a variety of media and techniques that let them explore the possibilities and their imaginations. A small group allows us to provide your child with individualized instruction for projects. Pre-registration with payment is required to hold your spot- Please see class availability on the registration page.
Please note the recommended ages for each week before you sign up to make sure the camp is appropriate for your child!
Age: Entering Kindergarten to grade 5
Price: $210 per child per full camp week.

Other: We will not be having a snack time, however, you can send a labeled drink in with your child. Please come dressed for mess!!!
Covid-19 and Illness Protocol: We ask that your child not come if they or someone in their immediate household is suspected or confirmed to have Covid-19, the flu, or other contagious illness.
Summer Camp Weeks and Themes:
Week 1, May 30- June 2: Fine Feathered Friends: We love birds, so our dear little birds Sunny and Louie will inspire our art work this week with a variety of media such as paint, collage and sewing to create fantastical flights of fantasy birds.
Week 2, June 5-9: Let's Go Camping!: Every summer, always have so much fun creating our mini-camp grounds! Inspired by nature and camping, we will use construction, sewing, drawing and painting to design and build our ideal miniature campsites and do some nature inspired art.
Week 3, June 12-16: Fashion Camp: (For rising 3rd through 5th graders only.)
This is a permanent fixture of every summer camp at YBS and is the perfect camp for little fashionistas! With a heavy emphasis on sewing, we will design hats, dresses and accessories worthy of any runway, we always love to see what our young designers create!
Week 4, June 19-23: Fabulous Food: Colorful food will inspire our arts and crafts this week as we use clay, paint , mixed media and textiles to create "yummy" works of art.
Week 5, June 26- June 30: Land, Air and Sea: (For rising 3rd through 5th graders only). This camp has it all for the kid who dreams of traveling and adventure! We will create models of different methods of travel that will truly test their creative thinking and problem solving skills- a perfect camp for the kid who loves to make stuff!
Week 6, July 5-7: Single Day Drop-In Camps: Register your child for just one or up to three days of camp from 9:00-12:00. Each day will offer unique projects that involve painting, making and more! Kids Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Week 7, July 10- 14: Under The Sea- Mermaids and other ocean creatures will take center stage as we create worlds for them with a variety of media that are inspired by the sea and it's treasures!
Week 8, July 17-21: Space Adventures: Buckle your seatbelts and put on your space suit! Campers will blast off to the far reaches of the galaxy through different arts and crafts and imagine worlds unknown that are waiting to be explored!
Week 9, July 24-28: Magical Castles : All kids will be royalty this week as they make and embellish their own magical castle and the characters that live in it through a wide variety of media.
Week 10, July 31- August 4: The Art of Harry Potter: (For rising 3rd through 5th graders only) Calling all Harry Potter fans! We will use different kinds of media to create art inspired by the characters and magical land represented in the Harry Potter novels for a week full of Hogwarts inspired fun!
Week 11, August 7-10: Single Day Drop-In Camps: Register your child for just one or all five days of camp from 9:00-12:00. Each day will offer unique projects that involve painting, making and more! Kids Kindergarten through 5th grade.
