Yellow Bird Studio's Summer Art Camp is loaded with a variety of fun and exciting  projects for rising Kindergarteners to  5th grade.  Each week we are inspired by a new theme, then we will bring our ideas to life with a variety of media and techniques.  We have small class sizes so that our atelieristas can focus on providing your child with individualized instruction for projects that bring out their individuality and creativity. Pre-registration is required-please see class availability. Registration will open on March 1, 2019.  All payments must be made by April 30,2019.

Age: Entering Kindergarten to grade 5

Price: $185 per child per week; 10% sibling discount off each additional child.  Registration must be done online.  If choosing the pay-in-person option, you may pay with check, cash, or Venmo.  

Cancellation Policy: Full refund if canceling by April 30, 2019.  50% refund if canceling May 1-30, 2019.  No refunds if canceling June 1 or after.  No credits or make-up days given for missed classes.

Length: AM Session 9:00-12:00  PM Session 1:30-4:30 (No full day options; No before or after care provided)

Caregiver required:   No

Pre-registration: Yes, to ensure your day and time are reserved.  

Drop-in: No

Other:  We will not be having a snack time, however, you can send a labeled drink in with your child. Please come dressed for mess!!!

Week 1, June 3-7:  Under The Sea- Mermaids and ocean creatures will take center stage this week as campers do collage, construction and sewing to make ocean inspired arts and crafts. AM and PM sessions are Full

Week 2, June 10-14: Beautiful Food: Colorful food will inspire our arts and crafts this week as we use clay, paint , mixed media and textiles to create "yummy" works of art. AM and PM sessions are Full.

 

Week 3, June 17-21: Calling All Cars: Put on your construction and engineering hat and join us as we design, build and test cars and other things that go in this STEAM inspired week.  AM and PM sessions  Full.

           

Week 4, June 24-28: Let's Go Camping!: Heavily inspired by nature and camping, we will use construction, sewing, drawing and painting to design and build our ideal campsites.  AM and PM sessions are full

Week 5, July 8-12: Forest Fairies: Enter the magical land of the fairies this week as we construct, paint and use textiles to create woodland masterpieces fit for wee folk.   AM and PM sessions Full.

            

Week 6, July 15-19:  Raining Cats and Dogs: Dogs and cats get along in our camp as we use sewing, painting and other mixed media to work them into our hearts. AM and PM session full.

Week 7, July 22-26: Fashion Camp: This is the perfect camp for little fashionistas!  With a heavy emphasis on drawing and sewing, we will design hats, dresses and accessories worthy of any runway.   (Best for rising 2nd graders through 5th grade.  Not appropriate for 4-6 year olds.)  AM and PM sessions full.

           

Week 8, July 29-August 2: Fantastical Beasts: Our imaginations are often the best place to inspire our art.  We will be using construction, drawing, painting and textile art to create beasts that come straight from our dreams.  AM and PM sessions are full.

 

Week 9, August 5-9: Alien Invasion: Sound the alarm- the aliens are coming!  Wild and beautiful art will be the result of our journey into space through the use of painting and construction. AM and PM sessions are full

 

Week 10, August 12-16: Fine Feathered Friends: We love birds, so our dear little Limoncello and his feathered friends will inspire our art work using mixed media and paint this week.  AM and PM sessions are Full.
